Topic: Trade Compliance Policy Developments and the Biden Administration

Kathy Canaan will discuss major international trade developments in 2020 and how they may be treated by the Biden administration.

Our Speaker

Kathy Canaan Global Director Trade Compliance with Fluor Corporation

Bio

Kathy Canaan, a Fluor Fellow, is the global director of trade compliance at Fluor Corporation. She leads the Trade Compliance organization, which supports all Fluor projects. She is responsible for global trade compliance strategy, including compliance with export controls, economic sanctions, and import customs laws.

Over her 20 years at Fluor, Mrs. Canaan has led Fluor’s logistics team globally, managed project logistics programs across the mining, energy, chemicals, and government services industries. She also served as the product director in strategic sourcing of logistics services.  Her professional experience includes ten years of project logistics management in varied leadership and trouble-shooting roles with international freight forwarding companies before joining Fluor.

Mrs. Canaan graduated with highest honors from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences in communication, adult education, and training.

Fluor is a global leader in engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction and maintenance (EPFCM).  Flor works closely with companies and governments to design, build and maintain complex capital projects that are essential building blocks of development and progress.
